Gondia News: Seventeen officers and personnel from the Gondia district police force have been selected for prestigious service medals in recognition of their long-standing and dedicated service.

The honours were announced ahead of Independence Day 2026, acknowledging police personnel whose work has been marked by commitment, discipline and an exemplary record.

The awardees include Police Inspectors Chandrakant Kale and Purushottam Aherkar, Assistant Police Inspector Sanjay Tupe, Police Sub-Inspector Shrikant Hattimare and Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Jitendra Mishra. Several other police personnel have also been included in the list.

The remaining awardees are Pankaj Dixit, Rekhlal Gautam, Laxman Gharat, Dikshitkumar Damahe, Balraj Lanjewar, Mushtaq Ahmed Waris Syed, Jyoti Katre, Sushil Ramteke, Javed Pathan, Ashish Wanjari, Rameshkumar Uke and Krunal Chandanbatwe.

The service medals will be presented to the recipients during the Independence Day celebrations in the presence of senior officials and dignitaries.

The recognition is an important achievement for the awardees, as service honours acknowledge sustained dedication to police duties and professional responsibilities.
