Bhandara: Political activity in Bhandara has intensified ahead of the upcoming municipal elections following a sharp exchange between BJP Yuva Morcha Bhandara City President Akshay Bhiogade and Sanjay Kumbhalkar.
The controversy began after Sanjay Kumbhalkar made remarks challenging former Maharashtra Guardian Minister Dr. Parinay Fuke. Kumbhalkar reportedly said that wherever Dr. Parinay Fuke contests an election in Maharashtra, he would personally enter the electoral contest against him.
Kumbhalkar’s remarks have now received a strong political response from Akshay Bhiogade, who asked him to first demonstrate his electoral strength in the upcoming municipal election.

Responding to Sanjay Kumbhalkar’s statement, Akshay Bhiogade issued a direct challenge and said, “Our leaders are far away; first, defeat a small worker like me in the upcoming municipal election.”
Bhiogade said that instead of directly challenging senior BJP leaders such as Dr. Parinay Fuke, Kumbhalkar should first contest an election at the local level and prove his political strength among voters.
He further said that political influence cannot be measured only through public statements or criticism of political opponents. According to Bhiogade, an election provides the real platform for a candidate to demonstrate public support and organizational strength.
BJP Yuva Morcha Workers Support Bhiogade
Several BJP Yuva Morcha office-bearers and party workers were present during the interaction. The workers expressed their views on Kumbhalkar’s remarks and backed the response given by Akshay Bhiogade.
Bhiogade also appealed for restraint in political statements, particularly when senior leaders such as Dr. Parinay Fuke are being targeted.
